La Cucaracha (Spanish for The Cockroach), originally known as Sidewinder, was a steel wild mouse roller coaster previously located at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, USA.
History
The coaster originally opened in 1961 as Sidewinder next to the Happy Motoring Freeway in the USA section of the park.
When Six Flags built a second track for Happy Motoring Freeway in 1962, Sidewinder was relocated within the park.[1] Sidewinder reopened in the Mexico section of the park and was renamed "La Cucaracha". Its old queue in the USA section was reused for the second Freeway track.
The coaster closed at the end of the 1964 season and was replaced by El Sombrero. The queue of this replacement would be the same as the one formerly used by La Cucaracha.

Notes
Various sources mention that Cucaracha was relocated to Forest Park. The Wild Mouse at Forest park was a Monster Mouse however, whereas Cucaracha sported the Mad Mouse layout. It is unknown if Herschell offered an upgrade to the coaster, making Coasterpedia unable to confidently state these as the same coaster.
