Stampede, formerly Cyclone, was a Pinfari steel roller coaster located at two different amusement parks.

History[edit | edit source]

Stampede originally opened as Cyclone at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in 1974. It closed after the 1987 season to make way for Avalanche. It was relocated to Frontierland Family Theme Park, also owned by the Thompson family. The ride operated until 1998, when it closed with the rest of the park. It was most likely scrapped.

Design[edit | edit source]

The ride had dark-pink track and yellow supports.

Trains[edit | edit source]

Single car trains. Riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows for a total of 4 riders per car.
