A tilt section is a thrill element popularized by Dutch manufacturer Vekoma. The first coaster to open with a tilt section was Winja's Fear & Force a Spinning roller coaster build by German manufacturer Maurer Rides GmbH.
The element consists of a section of track which tilts downward on a central pivot point while holding the train, transferring the train from a horizontal position to a downward-facing position.
Around 2000, Giovanola was offering a tilting coaster dubbed "Terror Tilter".[1] None were built.
