The Double inverting dive loop (also referred to as a Maxx dive loop) is an inversion that combines a heartline roll and a dive loop. It is found on Maxx Force at Six Flags Great America and The Ride to Happiness by Tomorrowland at Plopsaland De Panne.
The two double inverting dive loops are slightly different. The one on Maxx Force has a 270° roll to the left, and then a 90° roll to the right into the dive loop, similar to a double inverting stall. The one on The Ride to Happiness consists of a full 540° rotation into the dive loop, similar to a flying snake dive.
Alternatives
Double inverting immelmann
A double inverting immelmann is a Double inverting dive loop traveled in reverse. It is only featured on Star Trek: Operation Enterprise at Movie Park Germany.
Flying snake dive
A flying snake dive starts its first inversion once the train has reached the top of the element, rather than during its ascent like on a Double inverting Dive Loop. The final Dive Loop also bends to the left instead of going straight downwards.
